The members of BALASC supports the March 4th mobilization against the cuts on education. We are in solidarity with our brothers and sisters teachers, workers and students who are fighting for a better education system for our community. We know that these cuts has a strong connection with the enormous military budget the government has to keep financing wars and military interventions around the globe.
As a Coalition in Solidarity with Latin America we condemn the U.S. bases in Colombia, U.S. political intervention in Latin America as well as the process of militarization in Haiti. That is why we support the March 20th demonstration against the wars and we say:
Money for Healthcare, Jobs and Education! Not for Wars!
